The Jonas Brothers Story
Since 1908, Jonas Brothers Taxidermy has stood for quality and artistry.
Founded by Coloman Jonas with help from his brother, John, the brothers worked to build a life in the new world. After a single year, the word had spread about the high-quality works of art being produced by the Jonas Brothers, and the studio had to move to a new location to keep up with the demand. Soon after, brothers Louis-Paul and Guy joined the studio in Denver Colorado.
Coloman was trained in Europe by master taxidermists from Germany and Hungary before he emigrated to the United States. He was an avid naturalist, which combined with natural artistic talent to create the basis for what would become the most renowned taxidermy studio in the country.
During his time as the head of Jonas Brothers, Coloman became known as “The Father of Modern-Day Taxidermy”. This hard-won reputation is the driving force behind the company’s unparalleled artistry and craftsmanship today.
The wild success of the Jonas Brothers Taxidermy Studio prompted the family to open studios in Washington and New York to keep up with the demand of their customers. Throughout the years, Coloman’s exacting standards for quality and realism were passed down to the taxidermists working in the studios.
From that very first day in 1908, Jonas Brothers Taxidermy has been a family owned and operated business. This has allowed the studio to maintain the quality expected by its customers the world over by handing down the skills necessary to create truly realistic works of art. Such are the skills of the Jonas Brothers taxidermists at producing realistic mounts, that Jonas Brothers Taxidermy was contracted to mount animals and dioramas for display at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Those original mounts can still be seen on display there today … a true testament to the quality that you can expect from a Jonas Brothers mount!
From that day to this, Jonas Brothers Taxidermy remains as one of the nation’s premier taxidermy studios. For over 100 years, the studio has continued to meet the exacting standards for quality, realism and artistry set forth by its founder, Coloman Jonas, making Jonas Brothers Taxidermy world famous.
